This study provides overview of the potential of the invasive species (Lantana camara), based on its elemental and calorific value analysis literature data. L. camara being invasive toxic species provides significant advantage over the biofuel feedstock for future. The presence of less ash, sulphur content, and high calorific value makes it suitable for solid biofuels production. To follow the principle of circular economy it is vital to find the suitable recovery pathway for these kinds of plants, rather than taking them as a danger as invasive species the view over the biofuel generation can provide feedstock which requires less inputs from the side of farmer in terms of taking care. The invasive species are potentially able to self-sustain and can be useful to provide less cost feedstock for future biorefineries.
