The adsorptive properties of granular aluminosilicate-modified native diatomite (DMA) are investigated for the removal of fluoride from natural groundwater-like aqueous solutions. Optimal conditions for fluoride removal in the laboratory column were determined: DMA layer height 7.5cm, flow rate 10ml/min, pH 4.85, initial fluoride concentration 5.0mg/l allowing to obtain purified water with fluoride content corresponding to the maximum allowable norm = 1.5mgF/l.
