Molecular genetic characterization of indigenous animal breeds is important as it contributes to the development of effective plans for sustainable use and conservation of AnGR. This paper presents the most important results of molecular genetic investigation the authors performed within the projects III46002 and i D31028 by the analysis of indigenous breeds of donkeys, cattle, dogs, bees and their parasites from the territory of Serbia. The most significant results of other studies were presented in the case of sheep.
