الأسبانية؛ قشتالية. El objetivo de la presente investigación fue seleccionar bacterias endofíticas para el biocontrol de Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense (FOC). Nueve aislamientos de FOC recolectados en sectores ubicados en Turrialba y Talamanca, Costa Rica fueron utilizados en esta investigación. La patogenicidad de los aislamientos de FOC fue evaluada en vitroplantas de banano del cultivar Gros Michel en condiciones de invernadero. Adicionalmente la actividad antagonista de bacterias endofíticas sobre FOC fue determinada, mediante una prueba de antibiosis y de biocontrol respectivamente. Los resultados obtenidos en el bioensayo de patogenicidad demostraron que ocho aislamientos de FOC fueron capaces de infectar las vitroplantas y producir síntomas característicos del Mal de Panamá. The objective of this study was to select endophytic bacteria for biological control of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense (FOC). Nine isolates of FOC collected in Turrialba and Talamanca, Costa Rica were used in this study. The effect of isolates of FOC was evaluated in a pathogenicity test under greenhouse conditions. The antagonistic activity of endophytic bacteria towards FOC under in vitro and in vivo conditions also was studied. Tissue culture plantlets of the cultivar Gros Michel were inoculated with endophytic bacteria before of FOC inoculation. The results of the pathogenicity test reported that eight isolates of FOC were pathogenic.
