The Status of Sheep Farm in Central District of Konya

In this research, it is aimed to determine the current situation of sheep breeding enterprises in 3 central districts of Konya, identifying problems and presenting solution suggestions. For this reason, the general social situation of sheep breeding enterprises in 3 central districts (Selçuklu, Meram, Karatay), agricultural enterprise structure, farm size, forage crop production, feeding, farm records, animal care and feeding, milking, milk marketing, union membership status, related agricultural data such as the status of the existing shelters, marketing of the products and animals they produced were collected through surveys. The data of total number of 83 sheep farming, which are located in three districts connected to Konya city center and its villages, and selected by stratified random sampling method as a method, constitutes the research material. The farms were divided into three subgroups according to the number of sheep: small (less than 75 heads), medium (76-250 heads) and large (251 and above heads).
