The experience of IRRI's Irrigation Water Management Department with the National Irrigation Administration (NIA), shows that improvement of irrigation system management costing approximately 3 US dollars per hectare per year can result increased output of more than one ton per hectare per year. This is the irrigation management approach to growing more rice discussed on this paper
