To investigate the effects of harvesting time on development of grain, germination rate, 1,000 grain weight, yield and quality, the Saessalbori and Songhakbori were harvested five times at 3 days interval from 23 days to 35 days after heading. The grain length and the grain width became the highest value at 26 days and 29 days after heading, respectively. The 1,000 grain weight was maximum at 32 days after heading and germinating vigor and germination rate became the highest value at 26 days after heading. The yield decreased as the time of harvesting was hastened by 4 to 63 percentage. The pearling rate was maximum at 32 days after heading, and ash content decreased as the time of1194 harvesting was delayed, but protein content and amylose content were not significant in different harvesting time. In a point of grain filling rate, yield and quality, the physiological maturity day of naked barley in Chonnam seems to be at 32 days after hea
