This experiment was carried out to evaluate the cutting time during summer depression and the yield of the dry matter and crude protein of two year old orcardgrass. The yield of dry matter and crude protein in the combinations of some different cutting time was the lowest when cut on the 25th of July and followed by a period of hot dry weather. The stand reduction rate of orchardgrass and the growth and development of carbgrass were significantly high when cut on the 25th of July and followed by a period of summer depression. It may be concluded from the above results that the first, second, third and fourth cutting date of orchardgrass should be on the 20th of May, 25t0905h of June, 20th of August and 15th of October, respecti
