Evaluation studies were conducted on the growth performance, survival and sex ratio on three generations of Oreochromis niloticus strains (Philippines (Pn) and Singapore (Sn) strains) in ponds. Growth rate of progenies from Pn x Sn was higher than the Sn x Sn. First generation progenies (F1) from the two crosses gave the highest growth rate compared to the second (F2) and third (F3) generations. Survival rate was comparable between the two crosses and among generations. Sn x Sn cross gave a higher male percentage than Pn x Sn
