Fertilization within different doses of NPK resulted in a significant inc2048rease of available nutrient content in the soil. Irrigation caused a significant increase of P, K and Mg contents in the subsoil underlying the plough layer. Tree growth was enhanced by irrigation. Fertilization and irrigation did not affect the fruit setting. Fertilization without irrigation decreased the yield when the doses of NPK were higher than 200 kg/ha.
