shThe efficacy of five systemic fungicides was done in vitro against the growth of Phytophthora parasitica Dast. which caused the foot rot of betel vine at Khon Kaen province. The data observed was assessed by determining the radial growth of certain fungal colony on potato dextrose agar (PDA) amended with each fungicide treatment. The growth of fungal hyphae was completely inhibited on PDA amended with either chev. RE-20615 (15 percent WP) (50, 100, 250, 500 ppm); benalaxyl (Galben 10 percent WP) (50, 100, 250, 500 ppm); etridiazole (Terrazole 35 percent WP) (100, 250, 500 ppm) or metalaxyl (Ridomil 25 percent WP) (500 ppm). Fosetyl aluminum (Aliette 80 percent WP) was less effective in inhibiting the hyphae growth even at 500
