Survey of the helminth parasite infestation in Pla-Lai-Na, Fluta alba (Zuiew)

It was found that, out of a total number of 300 investigated fish, 291 were found to be infested with the parasites (97.00 percent). All of the parasites were endoparasites and classified into 14 generas and 17 species: Clinostomum complanatum, Nanophyetus sp., Senga malayana, Senga sp., Protocephalus sp., Taenia sp., Pallisentis nagpurensis, Pallisentis sp., Sphaerechinorynchus rotundocopitatum, Gnathostoma spinigerum, Proleptus anabantis, Camallanus yehi, Camallanus sp., Cucullanus sp., Capillaria sp., Contracaecum sp., Spinitectus sp. The highest number of infested helminth was Pallisentis nagpurensis which found to be 29.33 percent. The least number was Spinitectus sp. which found to be 0.02 percent. The helminth parasites found infested at every month during the study were1137 Pallisentis nagpurensis, Proleptus anabantis, Protocephalus sp., Gnathostoma spinigerum, Senga malayana. The distributions of the helminths were 93.00 percent found in the intestine, 58.33 percent in stomach, 46.66 percent in kidney, 22 .00 percent in esophagus, 16.00 percent in body cavity, 4.33 percent in muscle, 2.33 percent in liver, and 1.00 percent in gall bla
