Pelleting process has a positive effect on the reduction of the number of germs and fungi in feed. The reduction is one to two degrees, depending on the microflora species, temperature and pelleting time. Pelleting reduces the number of enteric bacteria. Salmonellas could not be isolated from 291 sample of granulated feed, while they were proved 5 times in corresponding samples of feeding meal. All Salmonellas belonged to the serological group E4.
