Describes a Thai-New Zealand project from March 1983 to December 1987 in the Chaiyaphum Province in North-East Thailand. Project objectives were to contribute to the increase of agricultural production and raise living standards by developing year-round village-based water resources for crop irrigation, livestock, crop processing, fish farming and domestic consumption. The project also assisted in the establishment of a permanent administrative structure to ensure the continuation of the water supply after the completion of the project
