The methods for the determination of the optimum area concentration of plant production in agricultural enterprises (production units within agricultural enterprise) are determined on the basis of the minimization of the costs of mechanization and transport per unit of production area. The methods and system of correlation and regression analysis were applied and their conclusiveness was tested in the actual production conditions of selected enterprise at the given crop structure and technology of production. The theoretical value of the optimum area concentration in the evaluated sowing system (winter wheat, green and silage maize, alfalfa) was 576.43 ha representing cost rate of mechanization and transport Kcs 1,721.89 per ha. It is necessary to evaluate the economically profitable concentration for technical and organizational reasons, from the aspect of the size production area. For example, considering the amount of 1,900 Kcs.ha-1 highest possible level of cost rate, the economically profitable area concentration in the analysed conditions would be within the range of 200 to 1 600 ha. At the same time, the proposed method can be applied as one of the effective tools in the formation of useful organizational structures within agricultural enterprises.
