1992
Ramli Othman | Najib Lotfy Arshad | Ong, S.H. (Rubber Research Institute of Malaysia (Malaysia))
Forty eight clones and genotypes in the Rubber Research Institute Experimental Station Sg. Buloh have been identified as potential materials for rubber forest. They were selected on the basis of high log volume (clear bole height) and good secondary characteristics such as vigor, erect and good clear bole height, wind tolerance and disease resistance. Eighteen of these clones and genotypes are poor latex yielders and they are H. guianensis - 20A/5 and 20A/3; H. pauciflora - 10/1. 2/3 and 12/4; H. benthamiana - 17/2; H. nitida - 7/1 and 8/1; 1981 Hevea germplasm AC/F/6A - (36/1), RO/OP/4 - (20/125), RO/A/7 - (25/588), AC/S/10 - (37/93), AC/T/4 - (13/84), AC/X/21 - (64/221), RO/C/9 - (23/307), (37/93), AC/T/4 - (13/84), AC/X/21 - (64/221), RO/C/9 - (23/307), RO/JP/3- (22/473), RO/C/9 - (23/238) and RO/C/8 - (24/164). The rest of these clones which are good latex yielders are RRIM 903, RRIM 904, FRIM 908, RRIM 911 913, RRIM 921, PB 235, PB 260, PC 142, RRIC 100, IAN 873, 1983 SSCT - 1/36, 2/10, 10/3; 1981 SSCT - 206/140; 1978 SSCT - 7/23; 1976 SSCT - 2/10; SSCT - 6/1, 6/9, 9/29; 1974 SSCT - 2/2, 2/12, 2/23; 1973 SSCT -1/4, 1/7, 1/13, 2/9, 2/31 and 13/4
