[Grain quality in maize commercial hybrids. Results of three trial sites [Lombardy, Piedmont]]

[Trials were carried out in Alessandria, Fontanella (Bergamo) and Luignano (Cremona) on grain yields of maize hybrids with maturity class 600, 700, 500 with 100 grain weights of 33.7-37.5, 33.6-35.1 and 30.9-35.8 g, respectively, with grain protein contents of 8,58-8.60%, 7.64-7.91% and 7.67-8.34%, respectively. The results showed a significant interaction between site and genotype for grain yield and quality. At Luignano grain yields and quality were lower than in Alessandria and Fontanella (except for grain protein content)]
