Avermectin B1 [antiparasitic macrocyclic lactone] toxicity in a herd of Murray Grey cattle

Unusual severe toxic reactions to avermectin B1 treatment were found in a closed herd of Murray Grey cattle. No similar adverse reactions have been reported in other Murray Grey cattle since the product was released in 1985. The affected herd may have had predisposing characteristics.
