A survey of interlotting standards in New South Wales and Victoria [wool]
1988
Tucker, R.E. | Teasdale, D.C. (New South Wales Univ., (Australia). Dept. of Wool Science) | Knight, D.M. (Australian Council of Wool Exporters)
Between component plus differences in yield and mean fibre diameter were greater for Victorian than for New South Wales interlots, but there was no significant difference between the two States in the range plus plus in vegetable matter (VM) content between components. The range between components was greater for low yielding, high VM content wool, and for coarser wool. The higher ranges found for Victorian interlots were directly related to the number of components within the interlots. The range between components tended to increase as the number of components within an interlot increased.
