Soil physic, growth and yield of peanut on mediterranean soil as affected by soil conditioner, manure and soil cultivation was studied at Wonosari, Yogyakarta during the 1987/1988 wet season. A split plot design with three replications was used. The main plot treatments were three levels of soil management and the sub plot treatments were five rates of animal manure and soil conditioner. The results showed that there was no interaction effects of soil tillage, manure and soil conditioner on all parameters observed, full tillage improved soil penetration, increased weight and length of roots, weight of stalks, number of filled pod and yield. The highest yield obtained was 1.42 t/ha of dry pod at combination of full tillage and rate of 200 or 400 cc/ha of soil conditioner. The yield was positively correlated with the weight and length of roots, number of filled pod and seed weight.
