إنجليزي. The health aspects of food machinery and systems are always neglected by designers. The complexity of the subject, and the great variety of machinery typologies, make the problem difficult to solve. The approaching European Common Market highlights serious shortcomings on this subject and the necessity to check and to harmonize existing health standards. The present paper analyses the main aspects of the work of Technical Committee 153 of the European Committee for Standardization, which will fix European standards on health requirements of food systems

La complessita' dell'argomento e la grandissima varieta' delle tipologie delle macchine interessate rendono, peraltro, il problema di non facile soluzione. L'avvicinarsi del Mercato Unico Europeo ha messo in evidenza le gravi carenze in proposito e ha evidenziato la necessita' di rivedere e armonizzare le norme igieniche esistenti. Dopo una breve analisi delle norme esistenti, la relazione analizza i principali aspetti del lavoro in atto presso il Technical Committee 153 del Comitato Europeo di Normazione (CEN) che portera' alla definizione di una norma europea sui requisiti igienici degli impianti alimentari
