Sirolot is a clip lotting program which also derives the Dark Fibre Risk for the resultant sale lots. It requires, as data input, an expansion of the information currently provided on the Standard Classer Specification. The data entry screens are modelled on a draft expanded Classer Specification that requires the information to be provided in a manner suitable for subsequent scanning in a selling agent's store. The program indicates the reduction in the total number of auction sale lots that might be possible if computer lotting, incorporating a matching-on-test-results function, was implemented.
