The project is a value adding one, targetting the lucrative beef export markets of Asia and North America, using dairy breed feeder steers to make up expected short falls in the number of stock available to fulfill the anticipated market increases. The kit includes 4 booklets and 2 videotapes, covering different aspects of the marketing, budgeting and animal husbandry areas involved in breeding and raising dairy breed calves to meet the identified market needs.
