Gives detailed results of a long term project to reduce the rate of spread and severity of infestations of Citrus leaf miner in Australia by introducing three minute parasitic wasps (parasitoids) from China and one from Thailand for use in biological control and integrated pest management programmes. These species include the three most important natural enemies of the pest. Later five additional parasitoids were introduced and evaluation of foliar sprays of a parasitic nematode and an insect growth regulator were undertaken, as possible alternatives to broad spectrum insecticides currently used in control programmes. Only some of the studies proved successful, though other possible control measures arising from the studies show promise.
