Carbohydrate malabsorption in dogs assessed using bioluminescence assays to measure simple sugars

A German Shepherd with suspected malabsorption was studied together with 2 control dogs (Greyhounds). The results suggested that the measurement of plasma monosaccharide concentrations using bioluminescence may be a useful non-invasive technique for assessing malabsorption in dogs.
