Results of a survey of 43 koalas in a colony are reported, including the incidence and sites of Chlamydial infection, and the presence or history of overt disease, particularly conjunctivitis and "wet bottom" associated with cystitis. It is concluded that infection with C. psittaci may cause subclinical as well as overt disease, with the latter developing when animals are stressed due to management procedures or concomitant disease.
