Study on the combination of rootstocks and scion in mango (Mangifera sp.). The aim of this research was to know the influence of 3 species of rootstocks. That were Mangifera indica L. (Madu), Mangifera odorata (Kweni), Mangifera foetida (Pakel) grafted on to 4 varieties of scion. This research used a Factorial Randomized Block Design with 3 replications. The first factor was rootstocks species and the second factor was scion varieties. The result showed that rootstock growth in terms of shoot number, plant height, leaf number, stem diameter and the growth of the seedling after grafting including the height of grafted seedling, leaf area, wet weight of seedling, dry weight of root, dry weight of flushes was affected by rootstock variety. Gadung variety grafted on Kweni (Mangifera odorata) had the widest leaf area. The persentage of successful grafts influenced by kind of scion variety. Golek and Manalagi varieties proved to have a less vigor behaviour than Arumanis and Gadung.
