Susceptibility of the banana weevil, Cosmopolites sordidus (Germar) (Coleoptera: Curculonidae) to five Ugandan isolates of Beauveria bassiana (Balsamo) was studied in the laboratory. Adult weevils were exposed to spore suspensions of B. bassiana isolates (KB/91/3, KB91/4, KB/91/5, KB/91/6 and KB/91/7) at a concentration of 2.18 x 10 to power seven spores ml and mortality assessed over 16 days. All the isolates caused 63-100 mortalities within two weeks. Dose mortality relationships were also assessed for isolates KB/91/3, KB/91/4 and KB/91/5 at concentration of 1,12 x 10 to power 7, 5.8 x 10 to power 6, 5.8 x 10 to power 5 spores ml. There was a decrease in infectivity of isolates with decrease in spore concentration. However, isolates KB/91/3 and KB/91/5 showed similar levels of effectiveness over the range of spore concentration
