Banana management practices and performances in Uganda

Diagnostic studies were carried out to assess the performance of bananas under different practices. Additional on-station experiments tested the use of mulches, method of application of coffee husks and levels of potassium application. Management practices varied among the diagnostic survey sites and farms. A large proportion of of plantations in Eastern and Central regions were less than ten years old, while most plantations in Western Uganda were over twenty years old. Significant correlations (p
