In mountainous spruce stands of the Beskids Mts. synusiae of cambioxylophagous species on standing bark beetle in dependence on their social position were evaluated. On subdominant trees out of 27 registered species Pityogens chalcographus and Pityophthorus pityographus appeared to be dominating. These species can significantly endanger both subdominant and dominant trees. On co-dominanat and dominant trees out of 28 cambioxylophagous species Pityogenes chalcographus, Ips amitinus, Polygraphus poligraphus, Ips typographus, Pityophthorus pityographus, Xyloterus lineatus, Hylurgops palliatus, Tetropium fuscum and Pissodes harcyniae ranked among the most important species.
