فرنسي. Des photographies representant des paysages a divers stades de reboisement ont ete classees selon leur valeur esthetique par un echantillon de 180 personnes, puis soumises a un traitement numerique d'images. Il a ete etabli que la diversite des nuances de gris est correlee a la structure du paysage, et donc a sa valeur esthetique. La technique du "moving window", qui consiste a calculer une valeur mediane pour chaque portion d'image, associee a un Systeme d'information geographique, permettrait ainsi de cartographier la valeur esthetique d'un paysage donne, a partir d'une photographie aerienne ou d'une vue panoramique.
