The grass mixture with predominance of fodder-valuable herbs were additionally sown to increase species diversity. Original grassland before degradation by heifers grazing was formed by association of Lolio-Cynosuretum cristati. The mixture of additional sowing included the seed of eight wild species obtained by gathering from the association Lolio-Cynosuretum near the trial. It was formed by fodder-valuable species of grass herbs and leguminous crops with feed value Kh 5. The ratio of grasses : leguminous crops : herbs was 1.35 : 0.80 : 4.20. Additionally sown species were suppressed by Dactylis glomerata and species with above-ground stolons (Ranunculus repens, Glechoma hederacea, Poa trivialis and Trifolium repens). Comparison of values between the control and variants of additional sowing in the total floristic and qualitative soil evaluation during four years led to the conclusion which unambiguously speaks in favour of additionally sown herbal species. Of the total number of 24 species 15 were medical plants which improved hygienic quality of atmosphere and allergenes formed a half of them. Except 4 species all others belong to honey-producing plants. Disadvantage of the majority of valuable herbs was crumbing during drying what in practice makes their use for hay impossible
