Economic evaluation of the meat-milk production system in sheep breeding

There is analyzed the meat-milk production system of sheep breeding in selected enterprises in 1995. Converted per 1 structural ewe, which incorporates also a proportional share of other sheep categories, the sales amounted to 1,664 SK, costs to 4,075 SK, economic loss to 561 SK and profit to sales ratio was (-33.7 %). In the profitable flocks with profit to sales ratio of 31.7 %, the rearing ratio was higher by 17.6 lambs per 100 ewes, the sale of slaughter lambs higher by 3.5 kg, the sale of raw sheep cheese higher by 4.1 kg and costs lower by 11.3 % compared to the unprofitable flocks, where the profit to sales ratio was (-87.2 %).
