The growth and development of the Semi-Arid Tropical Information Services (SATCRIS), Its objectives and its products and services are described. This paper also describes the process through which the SATCRIS service and products are promoted. The Union Catalogue of Serials in International Agricultural Research Centers has proven a very useful tool in the information sharing process. Its development, as well as how the ILOAN package can facilitate the loan process between the participating libraries, is described. The change from a manual system to an automated system of the SDI service and the process of getting feedback from the users of this service are explained. The need for re-viewing and improving the SATCRIS products and services, the process of conducting the Impact Study, and plans for implementing the suggestions from the target users are highlighted in this paper.
