Cambodia possesses a very large area and volume of forest which represents one of the very few national resources that can be rapidly developed in the reconstruction and rehabilitation period to earn hard currency. The development of the resources can bring its own dangers, the export products are from the fragiledense forests, unless carefully harvested and followed with regeneration care and protected from fire, these forests will be turned into a wasteland.
