Predatory attacks on artificial nest [pheasant] in areas with different hunting regulations in Tuscany

إنجليزي. The present work is the result of an experimental research based on the observation of artificial nests. The aim of the research was to verify whether there are any differences in the predatory pressure on pheasant in areas which are similar from an environmental point of view but are interested by a different typology of faunal management. The data collected show that the risk of predation is higher in areas where hunting is forbidden and particularly where the management is aimed at a population increase of some species (normally pheasant and hare) than it is in those areas that have a normal venatory system

Con la presente indagine, a carattere sperimentale, si e' cercato di verificare se esistono differenze nella pressione predatoria, a carico del fagiano, in territori simili dal punto di vista ambientale ma sottoposti a diversa gestione faunistica. Per questo si e' utilizzata la tecnica della osservazione di nidi artificiali. Dai risultati scaturisce che, nei territori sottopposti a regime di divieto di caccia e specialmente la' dove gli interventi gestionali sono mirati all'incremento di alcune specie di selvatici (in genere fagiano e lepre), il rischio di predazione osservato risulta maggiore rispetto ai territori a normale regime venatorio
