Influence of the first week of life of Massese lambs on weight gains [Tuscany]

إنجليزي. From birth to 100 days of life, 45 lambs of Massese breed were weighed weekly. The aim of this research was to verify the influence of the weight at seven days of life on successive weight gains, according to what was noticed in a previous note (Verita' e coll., 1990). Results did not highlight significant correlations between the weight at the birth and the successive weights, while correlations were present beginning from the weight at seven days of life; this shows that influences during the first week of life could be determinant for the successive weight gains

Lo scopo e' stato quello di verificare le eventuali relazioni esistenti tra il peso vivo alla nascita e gli accrescimenti successivi. I risultati non hanno evidenziato correlazioni significative tra i pesi alla nascita e quelli successivi, mentre esse compaiono a partire da quello relativo alla prima settimana di vita, come gia' rilevato in un precedente lavoro (Verita' e coll., 1990), indicando che le influenze subite nei primi 7 giorni di vita possono essere determinanti per gli accrescimenti successivi
