Cost of production of Cryptolaemus montrouzieri Mulsant and Scymnus coccivora Aiyar (Coccinellidae: Coleoptera) in Trinidad along with their rearing protocols

Studies conducted on cost of production of the Australian Ladybird, Cryptolaemus montrouzieri Mulsant and the Indian Ladybird, Scymnus coccivora Aiyar, fed on Hibiscus Mealybug, Maconellicoccus hirsutus Green revealed that the predators could be successfully mass produced. The cost of production of C. montrouzieri and S. coccivora per adult averaged 0.28 TT dollars and 0.92 TT dollars respectively. The rearing protocols of these predators are also discussed.
