Possibilities of the prediction of trace elements mobility in soils

It has been proved that we can make predictions of the contents of mobile species of trace elements, based on multiple regression analysis from a limited number of variables. Prediction equations of the mobile fraction soluble in 1M NH4NO3 reflect in the simplest form the (indirect) dependence upon pH and total content (Cd, Co, Ni, Be) or potentially mobilizable fraction (Mn, Zn). For other trace elements the prediction equation comprises total and mobilizable contents (Cr, Cu) or pH (directly) and either potentially mobilizable (Cu) or total content (As). Similar results have been obtained for the prediction of mobile species in 0.1M CaCl2.
