In 1994-96 of the effects of field bean cultivars (Nadwislanski and Tinos) and harvest and threshing dates (threshing immediately after harvesting and after dessication) on moisture content, weight and structure of the shoot system at the stage of seed formation and different stages of ripeness were the objective of the studies. Tinos, as compared to Nadwislanski, had a shorter growing season (from 5 to 10 days) and flowering time (7 to 12 days), but the period from emergence to flowering was 1 to 3 days longer. On average, during a 3-year period the number of pods per plant was 5 percent lower in Nadwislanski as compared to Tinos, but the number of seeds per pod was 22 percent higher. The number of seeds per plant was 14 percent higher and the weight of seeds was 65 percent higher in Nadwislanski than in Tinos cultivar
