The objective of the experiments was to evaluate a collection of selected varieties of apple trees resistant to apple scab and some selected new varieties in terms of their resistance to diseases and pests. Characteristics of vegetative growth, fertility indicators, fruit quality and storage life were evaluated. The experiments were divided into 4 mutually connected and evaluated stages (stage A - planting of slender rachises, stage B - pot experiment with grafts, stage C - nursery production, stage D - wall planting of apple trees).
