The effects of two different soil tillage practices-conventional tillage based on ploughing and no-till based on using of no-till drill related to the growing of spring barley are considered from the point of changes of soil properties. The plot experiments were realized on loamy fine soil. The effects of soil tillage practices were evaluated by using values of soil porosity and infiltration rate. The both values were higher on fields where no-till technology were implemented. Soil infiltration rate was studied by using Horton Mezentsev theoretical equations. Obtained results have confirmed that Horton equation allows better curve fitting of empirical data
