In reported studies were contrasted observation on rye cultivated in continuous cropping with results obtained in rye cultivated in crop rotation. It was also shown impact of continuous cropping of rye on the content and physico-chemical properties of soil biologically active substances. Previous dealt with seasonal changes in free and bound amino acids. Comparing changing in time and bound and free amino acids one can find higher variability of free forms than bound ones as well as higher turnover rates in crop rotation with respect to continuous rye cropping. Analysing the amino acids composition in soils with respect to sulfuric, basic aromatic, and neutral groups it was found that the most abundant were sulfur groups in free and neutral in bound
