Efficiency of gooseberry fruit harvest with mechanical harvester KPS-4A
1998
Salomon, Z. (Instytut Sadownictwa i Kwiaciarstwa, Skierniewice (Poland))
Stradle type currant harvesters with wide range of velocity and shaking frequency adjustment were used. Three travel velocities, five strikes of shaker fingers and seven frequencies of shaking were applied. The analyses of data showed that travel velocity, stroke and frequency of shaking units had a significant influence on harvest efficiency as well as shoot and fruit damages. The increase in travel velocity caused decrease in accuracy of harvest and reduced damage to shoots and number of cracking fruits. The increase in shaking amplitude and frequency caused increases of efficiency of harvest and damage of shoots and fruits
