Fermentation activity RD mutants yeasts Saccharomyces and Zygosaccharomyces

The aim of the study was to obtain RD mutants from the Saccharomyces and Zygosaccharomyces rouxii yeast strains and compare to their abilities to produce with the parental cultures. Wine strain Saccharomyces cerevisiae Steinberg, brewery yeast Saccharomyces uvarum and the medium containing acriflavin. RD mutants didn't show any growth abilities on glycerol. From this work we got 31 "petit" mutants. Fermentation test was conducted on the medium containing 12.5 percent glucose. The mutants didn't differ from parental strain in dynamics fermentation. 3 RD mutants had better yield of ethanol fermentation than their parents.
