Field experiments on wheat in rice-wheat system were carried out at Chambas, Tanahun and Pakuwa, Parbat for three years to find out the response of organic or inorganic or a combination of both fertilizers on wheat yield total productivity of rice and wheat nutrients uptake by rice and wheat crops and changes in soil chemical properties in rice-wheat system. Mean wheat grain and straw yields of both sites differed significantly among treatments. Application of 80:15:15 kg N:P:K/ha through inorganic fertilizer gave significantly the highest wheat grain yield with Rohini variety at Chambas but the same dose and sources produced low yield and that of 50 percent organic and 50 percent inorganic fertilizers gave 1.24 t/ha with wheat variety at Pakuwa. Similar wheat straw yields were obtained at both the sites by the same treatments. The low wheat grain and straw yield at Pakuwa were due to low moisture low organic carbon and exchangeable K in the soil.
