Hazelnut apoplexy. Three years of field trials with acibenzolar-S-methyl - a compound inducing systemic acquired resistance (SAR) [Corylus avellana L. - Latium]

إنجليزي. Hazelnut (Corylus avellana L.) apoplexy, caused by Pseudomonas avellanae, can incite the death of young and adult trees in few weeks. In order to verify the efficacy of acibenzolar-S-methyl towards such a disease, field trials in hazelnut orchards located in the provinces of Viterbo, Rome and Frosinone (Central Italy) have been carried out. The minimum concentration capable to induce a good control of the disease without inciting phytotoxic effects has been 5 g/hl (50 g/ha) of the product containing 50% of active ingredient. The mean number of treatments reducing the number of trees and branches dead in Spring and Summer is 5, to be preferably performed from the end of April until half August. In the hazelnut orchards that year by year removed the wilted trees and branches, the mean number of dead trees and branches was 25-30% lower than in the orchards treated with copper oxichloride during leaf falling and during the twigs sprouting. إيطالي. La moria del nocciolo, causata da Pseudomonas avellanae, e' una fitopatia che puo' portare a morte alberi giovani e alberi in produzione nel breve volgere di poche settimane. Al fine di verificare l'efficacia dell'acibenzolar-S-methyl nei confronti della moria, sono state effettuate prove di campo in aziende corilicole delle province di Viterbo, Roma e Frosinone colpite dalla moria. La concentrazione minima in grado di fornire un buon contenimento della fitopatia senza indurre effetti fitotossici alla vegetazione e' stata di 5 g/hl (50 g/ha) di formulato al 50% di p.a. Il numero medio di trattamenti ritenuto piu' idoneo a ridurre significativamente il numero di alberi e di branche morte lungo la stagione vegetativa e' di 5, da effettuarsi preferibilmente da fine aprile a meta' agosto. Nel caso di aziende dove annualmente viene effettuata la 'rimonda' degli alberi malati, la riduzione del numero di alberi e di branche morte e' del 25-30% rispetto al testimone trattato solamente con ossicloruro di rame durante la caduta delle foglie e alla ripresa vegetativa.
