The drought (between 5-15 day after flowering) modified the content, but not composition of soluble sugars in mature pea seeds. While the level of sucrose was stable, the content of stachyose and verbascose in the cotyledons of all isolines increased. It caused in decreasing the sucrose:RFOs ratio (by weight). In axes the content of soluble sugars decreased, except that wild type pea, in which both total amount of sugars and sucrose:RFOs ratio increased
