Effects of calcium soaps of olive oil and protected methionine supply on some hematic parameters of lactating ewes

A trial was carried out according to a Latin square 4 x 4 experimental design, using 8 Massese ewes, fed with 4 different diets: control (C), consisting of lucerne hay and concentrate; C + Liposal (L: 50 g/h/d); C + Methio-by (M: 5 g/h/d); C + Liposal + Methio-by (LM: 50 + 5 g/h/d). Feed intake and hematic content of glucose, triglycerids and urea were controlled. The results put in evidence a significant (P0.05) increase of hematic urea content in ewes fed with calcium salts of olive oil
