Ipofertility of the rabbit doe. Effect of an alfaprostol + PMSG associated treatment on reproductive performances of repeat breeder does

إنجليزي. The artificial insemination (AI) started to be used in rabbit breedings more than 10 years ago in order to increase the production of meat rearings. AI is used in Italy in reproductive cycles of 42 days (6 weeks); the does to be inseminated belong to the following 3 categories: nulliparous, suckling multiparous and repeat breeder does. The repeat breeder does affect the total productivity of a rearing and are a real problem for the reproduction. On a field trial we controlled the effect of alfaprostol + PMSG associated treatment on reproductive performances of repeat breeder does and on ipofertility. In a 1,300 does farm, 4 groups of repeat breeders have been treated 72 hours before AI using 4 different treatments: placebo, PMSG (20 UI/head), alfaprostol (200 microng/head) and alfaprostol + PMSG (200 microng + 20 UI/head). The alfaprostol + PMSG combination increased significantly both fertility and prolificacy (P0.05 and P0.01) of the does and also the number of newborn/AI. The treatment positively affected the number of high-progesterone-level does (P+) at AI moment. The results show that the association alfaprostol + PMSG improved reproductive performances of repeat breeder does, also reducing the number of those presenting ipofertility problems

إيطالي. L'inseminazione artificiale (IA) e' stata introdotta in coniglicoltura piu' di 20 anni fa allo scopo di migliorare la programmazione e le produzione degli allevamenti di conigli da carne. Il Italia la IA viene utilizzata con un ciclo riproduttivo di 42 giorni (6 settimane) e le coniglie da inseminare appartengono essenzialmente alle seguenti 3 categorie: nullipare, pluripare lattanti e ritorno, cioe' le coniglie risultate non gravide alla precedente inseminazione. Le coniglie ritorno influenzano negativamente la produttivita' globale di allevamento e costituiscono un problema per la riproduzione. In una prova di campo abbiamo verificato l'effetto del trattamento alfaprostol + PMSG sulle performances riproduttive delle coniglie ritorno e sulla ipofertilita'. In un allevamento di 1.300 coniglie riproduttrici, quattro gruppi di coniglie ritorno sono state trattate, 72 ore prima della IA, con quattro differenti trattamenti: placebo, PMSG (20 UI/capo), alfaprostol (200 microng/capo) e alfaprostol + PMSG (200 microng + 20 UI/capo). L'associazione alfaprostol + PMSG, in paragone agli altri trattamenti, ha aumentato significativamente la fertilita' e la prolificita' delle coniglie (P0.05 e P0,01) ed anche in numero dei coniglietti nati-vivi/IA. Il trattamento ha diminuito anche il numero delle coniglie con progesteronemia elevata al momento dell'IA. I risultati ottenuti indicano che l'associazione alfaprostol + PMSG influisce positivamente sulle performances riproduttive delle coniglie ritorno, riducendo il numero delle fattrici che presentano problemi di ipofertilita'
